AIAC 2026 – the 27th Atelier International d’Architecture Construite – is an international architecture competition bringing together students and lecturers from many architecture schools around the world. This year, Pisco, Peru was chosen as the site for research and concept development – where students directly engaged with the local cultural, historical, landscape and everyday-life context to develop architectural proposals rooted in reality.
After the research and design development phase, the projects were further refined, exhibited and assessed in Thailand as part of the AIAC 2026 activities hosted by Phranakhon Rajabhat University.
01 Third Prize (The color of rebirth): Đặng Duy Vinh, Lưu Lê Tuấn, Trần Minh Tín.
01 Honourable Mention (Unwritten strata): Nguyễn Văn Truyền, Phan Hồng Thanh.
The two awards recognise the effort, design thinking and professional competence of DAU students as they stepped into an international academic environment.
But the value of AIAC lies not only in the final results. It is a journey in which students must step beyond the confines of the lecture hall, directly observe a place, read its context, engage in dialogue with the local culture and transform real experiences into architectural thinking.
There, an idea is judged not only by its form, but also by how the learner frames the problem, justifies their choices and creates a solution capable of engaging in dialogue with people and context.
For DAU students, this is also the spirit of the “5T” generation:
